BRITISH SCHOOLS GRASS TRACK RACING AT BARNWOOD PRIMARYH

The day started with sunshine before the rain set in for a very wet and soggy day. Despite this, the weather didn't appear to dampen the spirits of riders.

Edward Nicholls from Ickford School took Gold in the U7 category, whilst Rowan Corin representing Cycle Stars came second followed in 3rd place was Ellyn Smith representing St James Primary.

Cerys Sullivan representing Cycle Stars in the U9 girls event took Gold, closely followed by Heidi Cooper Fox representing Lakeside Primary 2nd and Nelly Brain representing Barnwood Primary in 3rd position.

There was a big field racing in the U9 boys race. Maximillan Atkins from Cotswold Veldijden taking Gold, in second place was Joshua Arthur from St James Primary and Matthew Russell representing Beacon RCC in 3rd.

Team prize went to St James beating strong contenders from Lakeside Primary.

U11 Girls was an all St James field, won by Frankie Gill who also races for Cycle Stars. April Amodeo 2nd and Amelia Henley in 3rd place.

U11 boys had a big field of competitors, with the winner being Oliver Howard representing Halesowen CC. Dylan Sullivan racing for Cycle Stars came 2nd and Theo Moseley (Cycle Stars) 3rd

Cycle Stars won the team event beating St James Primary.

U13s was an all boys event resulting in another winner fror Halesowen CC Malakhi Bailey, marginally beating Ryan Thomas from Cycle Stars and in 3rd place Miles Oliver also racing for Cycle Stars. 

This year saw the first category for fixed wheel bikes in the U15 event.  Zac Harley for Cycle Stars won Gold,  2nd place was Edward Staite and George Routledge in 3rd place both riding for Cycle Stars.

Winning for the Girls was Hannah Sidford Cycle Stars and Ella Maunder in 2nd representing Belmont School.

Quella Bikes and Lowry cafe were the event sponsors.
