Ride for Trees

On behalf of all the coaches may I wish you all a Happy New Year, we are aware that a number of you have had new bikes and club jerseys for Christmas and are keen to get back to cycling. Well we aim not to disappoint and have arranged an exciting programme of cycling opportunities. Starting off with our regular Tuesday evening at EDF Energy where we will be learning ride etiquette in readiness for a series of club rides planned. We will be finishing off with a increased pace to get the heart pumping.

On Sunday 9th we are hosting the traffic free family bike ride 'Ride for Trees' suitable for all ages and we are encouraging parents to join us. Ride cost £3 per rider, £1 of which will be donated to the Woodland Trust to enable more trees to be planted helpng to combat CO2 emissions. We are also trying to create awareness that cycling can be a fun family activity and that more children would be encouraged to ride if there were more safe routes to cycle.

Starting at 1.00pm Shire Hall, Westgate St, Gloucester, riding to Gloucester docks, onto the towpath to Quedgeley, coffee stop at The Roastery Coffee Shop before the return journey, approx 10k
