Cyclocross is back!

Cyclo-Cross is back with Cycle Stars competing in the first round of the West Midlands Cyclo-Cross League.

We had three riders representing Cycle Stars whio were competing in Cyclo-Cross for rthe first time. Blake Knight, Josh Arthur in the U10s and Izzy Jones in the U12.

Following the success on the track we were geared up for the same success in CX, however riders were dissapointed to find they were at the back of the starting grid. The WMCCL postions riders based on past perfornances in the league only.

All our riders were having difficulty moving through the lead riders due to the narrow tracks at Stourport and perhaps we were a bit polite andnot seeking out the opportunities quick enough. Despit this as the race progressed they started to move up the field.

Final positions: Josh 16th - Blake 22nd - Izzy 20th

Next week we are in Coventry for round 2 and are being joined by Theo racing in the U12s. With a week of extra coaching and preperation the riders are ready and know what they've got to do. We are looking forward to an exciting race.
