Big turnout for Cycle Stars
BSCA Cyclo-Cross Championships
With 56 riders competing and over 100 spectators, our first BSCA inter school cyclo-cross event, hosted at St Peters High School was a success.
We had entries from both schools and cycling clubs, some travelling from, Cardiff, Bristol, Swindon and Birmingham.
School Champions were Lakeside Primary Cheltenham, Lakeside just missed out last year getting beaten by their rivals St Marks Junior, however with some good training and determination success was theirs.
We also saw some achivements from St James Primary with Jack Weisburg taking 3rd in the years 1 and 2 race category. St James has recently asked Cycle Stars coaches to provide coaching sessions at the school and are looking to have a team representing them at our next event on the 15th May at Barnwood School.
Other achievements, Cwmcarn Paragon CC win the year 1 and 2 category, Beacon Road Cycling win the years 3 and 4, Sulis Scorpions win the years 5 and 6, CTW win years 7 and 8 Maindy Flyers win the 9 and 10
Finally competing for the first time was Belmont School who were awarded the team prize for years 9 and 10
